How can I book a tour?

You can create a group or you can join a group already created.

Do we get charged if the boat doesn't dock?

It's not your fault and you'll be not charged !
A fee would be charged if the tour was cancelled for any other reason within the 10 days cancellation period.

What happens if someone in the group is a "No-Show" on the day of a tour?

As each party within the group is financially independent (i.e. submits their own guarantee for services), if someone is a no-show the day of the tour, this does not affect the rate for the other members of the group. The per person rate for the tour does not change if someone cancels less than 10 days before the scheduled service or is a no-show the day of the service. As per our terms and conditions, we reserve the right to charge the individual(s) who cancel less than 10 days before a tour or do not show up the day of the tour, for their portion of the amount due for the tour.

Can parties from different cruise ships join the same tour?

Unfortunately, we require that all participants in a group be sailing on the same cruise ship. Due to the multitude of risks associated with combining guests from different ships, such as different in port times and terminal locations at ports, we are unable to accommodate groups comprised of a mix of guests from different cruise ships.

How can we locate our driver upon arrival?

Your driver will be waiting for you in front of the ship gangway, showing a sign with your GROUP NAME on it.

Is the tip included in the quote? How much should we tip the driver?

Tip is not included in the quote. Gratuities are not mandatory in Italy , however we do feel that if the clients have been happy with their service, the driver should receive a tip as a token of appreciation. Standard gratuities in Europe run between 10 % - 25% depending on the service received.

Are the prices per person?

Yes. The prices are per person and based on the number of the participants.

What is the difference between a tour guide and a driver-guide?

A tour driver and a tour guide are not the same. It is to your advantage when booking a tour to be sure that you understand the difference and know in advance what you are paying for. A tour guide has a license, usually issued by the state / country. He or she has attended school to learn all about the sites you will see. A guide is permitted to go into the historical fake watches sites with you and tell you about the history. Naturally, their services will cost more. A tour driver is not licensed, has not attended "guide" school, and is not permitted inside the site to tell you about the history. Naturally, their services will be more economical. Many drivers are just as well versed in the area history as the guides.

Are the shared shore excursions flexible ?

No, the tour is not flexible, as 8 people in a minivan all wanting to see different things is chaos. Our groups are usually formed by people who know exactly what they wish to see and are looking to share their special day with likeminded cruisers. Time is short in the port and what is offered on the webpage is what we can visit in a day. If there is a major reason why we cannot visit one place then the group leader will be asked to make a decision after discussion with the group.

IF YOU WOULD LIKE A FLEXIBLE TOUR WE DO OFFER PRIVATE SHORE EXCURSIONS, CREATED MAINLY FOR THE FACT THE TOURS ARE FLEXIBLE, VISIT OUR MAIN WEBSITE WWW.BARBAROCARSERVICE.COM

I heard the Vatican is closed on Sundays does that mean you'll arrange to bring us elsewhere in Rome since I'm assuming it will be unavailable?

The Vatican Museum and the Sistine Chapel are closed on each Sunday except the last one of the month. The Basilica of St. Peter's is always open so you will be able to visit it and if you are lucky enough you might be able to see the Pope since he gives a Blessing on this day. When the Vatican museum is closed it will be replaced with a visit to the catacombs or something else  you would like to see. The tour is very flexible so we do not follow a strict itinerary and if you have any suggestion we will be happy to satisfy it.
